Diving is a complex sport with constantly evolving techniques and tools, so it’s easy to overlook fundamental scuba skills. This is why you must take a refresher course if more than two years have passed since your last dive.
When you complete your PADI Open Water Diver course in Grand Cayman or any other destination, your certification will never expire. However, if too much time passes after your last dive, you must refresh your skills and knowledge before getting back in the water.
If you haven’t been diving for two years or more, but within the last six years, our Grand Cayman Refresher Diving course will reacquaint you with diving. In less than a day, you will feel comfortable underwater again and familiar with dive planning, safe dive practices, and how to use computers and equipment.
If six years or more have passed since your last dive, you must take the PADI Re-activate course. This intensive one-day course eases you back into scuba diving by covering dive theory and a wide range of essential skills.
Whichever course you need to take, it won’t be long until you can enjoy diving in Grand Cayman again! Find out more about each option by clicking through the relevant course below. If you have any questions for the Tortuga Divers team, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
