In a crowded field of remarkable dive sites, the wreck of the USS Kittiwake is among the most famous and most popular in Grand Cayman. This 251-foot-long ex-US Navy submarine rescue vessel was deliberately sunk off Seven Mile Beach in 2011 to create an artificial reef and a thrilling wreck dive. Today, the site of the Kittiwake is teeming with marine life and dives into the ship’s interior are even more incredible than ever!
After diving through and around this famous site, you will travel a short distance to enjoy a shallow dive at one of the west coast’s many beautiful coral reefs.
Please note, the 2-tank Kittiwake wreck dive from Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach is offered through Red Sail Sports, our parent company. Divers must source their own transport to get to the Westin on Seven Mile Beach, which can be around a one-hour drive from Tortuga at Morritt’s.
